So, this week’s prompt over at Sticky Fingers is nature.
Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Here in Florida I find that I have a love/hate relationship with nature. While I love getting out in to the great outdoors, I dislike the beasties you often find there.
Take, for example, this beauty of a spider … don’t be fooled … it’s the size of a grown man’s hand.

Or even this … need I say more?

But, I do heart this about Florida …

I’m so looking forward to the day I get to return to Florida! Lovely photos
Florida, to me, seems a bit prehistoric. Next time you see a blue heron or a bald eagle flying across an open pasture, tell me it doesn’t look like something out of Jurassic Park.
Lovely. Love the colors in your gator shot! Suwannee Refugee is right–when I first moved to Florida and drove down a road lined with Canopy Oaks and Palmettos it felt very prehistoric to me.
such cool photos. I have hibiscus growing here but it’s not doing very well.
No alligators though.
Beautiful photos, well except for the spider and the gator – luckily I didn’t see any of those whilst I was out working in Panama City.
Oooooh, I see what you mean about the beasties! Fantastic photos, I love the sunset…gorgeous!
That’s the power nature has isn’t it – love & hate! Great pics!
Oh it’s all beautiful! I can’t imagine why you’d ever hate it!
There’s nothing I love more than to see a gorgeous sunset, so that photo made me smile!
Love Florida. Was that photo taken on the Gulf coast? It looks just like the beach we were on at Easter.
just having a little bit of a shiver here at that spider!

Oooh, I got married at sunset in the Florida Keys.
Lovely pix.
I’ve only been to Florida a couple times on business. Is that spider really the size of a hand? Scary! When I get back to the UK in September spider season is going to be in full swing. Uughhh.
Well, at least you don’t have to worry about any poisonous ones!
We do get the most amazing sunsets here. And, funny enough the Keys is probably the only place in Florida I’ve yet to visit.
Thank you. Yes, it’s actually Madeira Beach.
I hate the creepy crawlies! Ugh!
There is so much beauty in Florida, I agree, you just gotta know where to step and not step!
Eeeek. I think that’s a banana spider, we saw one the size of my car last week while we were house hunting. And don’t get me started about the gators and snakes here….. I have the heebie jeebies.
You still going to NYC next week? Email me and we’ll swap numbers. If we can’t meet up in our home town, we may as well do it in NYC!!!
I adore your trees in Florida, could look at them all day.
I love the golden colors of the second photo you have. Such beautiful light!
Truly, nature is a great gallery to explore and view. The sunset photo reminded me of letting go and breaking free. Very calm!
Hey! Quick question that’s entirely off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My web site looks weird when browsing from my iphone. I’m trying to find a theme or plugin that might be able to fix this issue. If you have any suggestions, please share. Cheers!
