The Gallery … Christmas of Yesteryear

22 Dec

So, for this week’s lovely, Christmassy theme I’ve chosen this photograph of yours truly perched atop Santa’s lap, aged 3.

It’s no secret that my youngest son is absolutely terrified of the big man in red. So, in an effort to calm that fear, I’d asked my mum to pull this photo out of her vault to show him that even Mummy had visited Santa when she was a little girl. Before i showed it to him, I noted that I’ve got a bit of a worried face on so I asked my mother if I had been bothered by Santa as well to which she scoffed.

And, then said “hardly … I couldn’t shut you up. You kept going on and on about what you wanted for Christmas and telling him how good you had been all year.”

I was all, “oh, what did I ask for?”

“I dunno, probably some large package,” she answered.

“Mmmmmmmmm, not much has changed over the years then,” I mumbled.

Anyway, the little man was suitably impressed with said photo and has said he *might* talk to Santa tomorrow at his school Christmas party tomorrow.
