Lessons…
I think life is rather like a journey. A journey of growth and discovery. One that grows, evolves and doesn’t really ever end.
And, in my journey or life or whatever you want to call it, I’ve learned a few lessons. Some were easy, others really fecking hard and I know there’s probably even more to come.
No matter, I though it might be nice of me to impart a few of these said lessons I’ve learned thus far…
Never trust anyone… otherwise known as always rely on yourself
Plan for every eventuality, but be spontaneous too
Always have a back-up plan to the back-up plan
Love honestly and openly, but save a piece of your heart for yourself because loving you is important too (that is not a euphemism so get yer minds out the gutter)
Never get so caught up in planning a moment that you end up missing it
Allow yourself to feel something or someone so completely that you lose yourself… at least for a little while, but save yourself for someone who is willing to fight for you
Don’t forget who you are and what you want out of life
Always give because it will come back to you in some form or another
Be patient, but also know when enough is enough
Live a little
Remember to laugh
Don’t take yourself too seriously
Make time and be present for those you love and who love you back unconditionally
Read
Be curious
Love what you love no matter what anyone else thinks
Watch a sunrise and a sunset and never ever allow yourself to not be in awe or inspired by them
Ooh, er… I didn’t quite mean to go so Eat, Pray, Love on you all. Anyway, what say you? What pearls of wisdom do you have to share? I’d love to read them.
