And, then the next they’re towering over you.

How Autumn Looks in Flo Rida…

Living in the far south of the U.S. of A, y’all get a different perspective of Autumn. Or, fall as they call it round these parts.

It’s not all sunshine and palm trees ye know.

True, we don’t get snow or the bitter, biting cold you experience elsewhere, but it does get chilly.

And, the leaves do turn.

A bit.

Honestly, they do.

What I really love about fall down here is being able to head outside and enjoy the outdoors without the usual heat or humidity. I can ~~drag~~ take my boys on hikes and to outdoor festivals without them moaning ~~too much~~ about being hot and fiiiiirsty.

But, perhaps the best photo I can show to interpret how fall looks in my neck of the woods is this one… Hello, my pretties… Yes, I get to be reunited with my ~~fake~~ Uggs.

The Gallery… The Eighties

I couldn’t help but squeal with excitement when I saw the theme for this week’s Gallery was The Eighties.

I was a teen back in them there Eighties. A tall, gangly, fashion obsessed, geeky, ridunculous teen. Hah. Not a lot has changed really. Anyway,I think it was a great decade to live out those years. The music, the clothes, the technology, the political climate… it was all just so different. Edgy. New. Undiscovered, even?

Anyway, I’ve pulled out this photo from the vault that was recently sent to me by my bestie. We were all dressed up to go out to some party or another and had got ready at her sister’s house with help from those little cuties. It pretty much sums up my look during that period of my life:

Big hair care of a perm and mousse… lots of mousse
Lacy gloves
Pearls
Pixie boots (sadly they were not shown here so I can’t remember if I had on my pink or black ones)
Bright cerise outfit, my colour of choice
Gloss

Not sure, but I do believe my pal was going for the Cilla Black look that night.

The Gallery … Me Right Now

So, after not really taking part in the Gallery of late because of one thing or another, I decided that I would participate this week, no matter what.

And, then I saw the prompt.

And, I thought fuck’s sake.

I curse you Tara.

I was tempted to take a photo of my feet instead … ye know … because of her infamous foot fetish and all. Mwahahahahaha. Anyway, not one to back down from the challenge I’d set myself to participate, here I am … this seriously is me right now. Hair a mess … no make-up on… night-shirt on and ready for some zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz’s.
