Potty Training 101 . . .

So, I’ve not had to do this in a very long time, but dare I say it, I am pretty sure the little munchkin is ready to start potty training.
Yes, the dreaded time that all parents just love!  I should run for the hills now before the endless piles of laundry cometh.
Let’s just say DS#3 [...]

Here comes the choo choo train . . .

Yes, I know I shouldn’t, but this week I resorted to sound effects and role playing to encourage my littlest one to eat something other than his usual repertoire of applesauce, chicken nuggets or spaghetti.
I know it’s wrong, but seriously I’ve tried everything else!  (And, I might add that I’m wide open to any suggestions you may like [...]

Ever had to change a tampon in a busy public bathroom with a very inquisitive toddler looking on?

Fun isn’t it?
The other day, the boys and I headed down to Daddy’s work to meet him for a lunch date on his birthday as he was going to pulling a late one at the office.
We got to the Cracker Barrel restaurant that is right next to DH’s place of work.  Now, Logan still has huge separation [...]

Thursday Thirteen . . . Thirteen Great Baby/Toddler Books that My Kids Adore

For this week’s Thursday Thirteen, I decided to put together a list of thirteen baby/toddler books that have been favourites in our house at one time or another.  My littlest munchkin’s favourite of the moment is The Peace Book by Todd Parr and it shows.  It’s very tattered and torn, but I like to say it’s well [...]

A quickie at the beach . . .

No, it’s not what you bloody well think although . . . no, I digress!
Took the boys to the beach this morning, but when I was getting ready I pulled something in my back.  I figured it must have been when I was bent over in the shower shaving all the important bits and pieces.  [...]

You can’t see me . . . can you?

Oh my!
My little one’s latest trick is that when he is being terribly naughty, for example climbing on the coffee table or drawing on the floor with his crayons, he hides his eyes with his hands! It’s so funny and I have to hide my laughter when trying to continue disciplining him! Not sure what [...]

Finger painting Firsts . . .

How Logan and I spent a lazy Friday afternoon . . .

Picking out colors . . .

Getting stuck in . . .

Cleaning up in the kitchen sink . . .

Mommy, can we go out and play now?

Stop the presses . . . we have a climber on our hands!

My oldest son watched the littlest one yesterday so I could shower in peace . . . except this is what I encountered when I was finished!  Nobody is taking reponsiblity for showing him how to do it!  Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

I guess he just wanted a new perch to watch his morning show on!   And, don’t worry [...]

So, I can’t marry off my toddler in Arkansas anymore?

So, I read some really weird news today out of Arkansas and can breathe a huge sigh of relief.
Apparently, a law that mistakenly allowed anyone - even toddlers - to marry with parental permission was finally repealed today!   What were those lawmakers thinking when they forgot to put in an age limit?
Weird huh?
